Absolutely beautiful place. Love the nice trail and the foliage. No dogs allowed on the trail. It is a definate stop if you enjoy learning and seeing the beauty of OBX
If you love coastal birds you should visit. You can do a 4 mile trip thru the inland lakes and then come back down the beach. Stunning scenery and sounds.
Nice place for a hike, during the right season there are hundreds of birds to watch. A great deal of variety of species, really cool. Bring binoculars.
I enjoy the great outdoors, and the Outer Banks is a lifetime adventure. Spending time with nature is natural.
Wonderfully easy walk with creatures abounding - mostly ducks, geese, and swans the day we visited. Obvious bird watcher's heaven. I'm not an official bird watcher but really enjoyed pointing my camera and taking pictures.
